Director Patient Access

Job description

The Director Patient Access Ambulatory is responsible for administering, coordinating, and monitoring the performance of ambulatory and centralized patient access operations across the organization, including scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, referral management, prior authorization, financial clearance, and registration for outpatient hospital and clinical practice operations. This leader seeks to implement emerging best practice strategies and technology to increase front-end efficiency and fortify the patient experience across multiple teams and locations throughout the network. To achieve these goals the Director Patient Access Ambulatory identifies opportunities and works with senior executive leaders in other organizational areas including: compliance, clinical services, quality and risk, revenue cycle, and the ambulatory service departments to ensure regulatory compliance, increase care coordination, and to improve access operations and communication throughout the network.
