Job description

The Director Facilities Engineering directs the maintenance, operations, and control of the physical plant, buildings, and its dependent equipment. The Director holds primary responsibility for assuring that the Facility and Engineering Services meet all regulatory and accreditation compliance requirements related to the buildings, systems, and various codes. The Director is also responsible for dealing with large and small unexpected emergencies that affect normal building function and/or its occupants.Through sound engineering practice and management, the building systems are maintained to provide a safe, reliable operating environment for patient care. The resources of the maintenance departments are directed to provide their respective services in the most cost effective manner possible consistent with high quality standards. Coordinates and makes recommendations to management for the required capital investment to ensure continued services of the physical plant and equipment.
