Job description

This position exists to lead the clinical and business direction of assigned units/cost centers with an emphasis on strategic planning, clinical outcomes, quality management, training and excellence in customer service. The position will provide the leadership and direction necessary to develop, recommend and implement programs, policies, procedures and standard operating procedures for efficient day-to-day operations. This position is also a member of the Advance Practice Provider (APP) leadership team and APP Product Line Representative Team under the direction of the VP CPN APP Executive. Operationally responsible for Nurse Anesthesia services and programs. Collaborates with the VP and Physician Executive of Women’s Product Line in developing, interpreting and applying the organization’s policies, budgets, and long range plans for facilities, equipment and personnel. Assumes responsibility for the safe and proper operation in the quality control of all standard and special anesthesia equipment, techniques, and procedures. Plans appropriate utilization of staff time and capabilities.Also, will provide clinical services are as a Nurse Anesthetist and will administer various types of anesthetics to render patients insensible to pain during surgical procedures, deliveries, and other therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. May share some on call responsibilities with staff.
