• JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
• Job Summary:
• Assists the nursing staff and/or the physician/physician's assistant in the delivery of patient care.
• Education:
• Position requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Registration/Certification/Licensure:
• CNA License
• Experience:
• Position requires 0–6 months equivalent combination of education and experience in a related area.
• Other Requirements:
• Maintains unit specific and hospital competencies in accordance with policy requirements
• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
• FLSA Status:
• Non-Exempt
• TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
• Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assists patients with activities of daily living using proper body mechanics or lifting devices
• Performs clerical and/or supply replenishment duties
• Performs basic procedures according to the technical skills list under the direction/supervision of the RN.
• Communicates data/observations to the RN
• Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals
