GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provides outpatient behavioral health therapy to clients. The Therapist works in collaboration with other clinical staff and community support providers to provide the high-quality integrated services

• Meets/exceeds competency criteria specific to the tasks and duties of the position.
• Demonstrates service excellence in all activities and interactions.
• Documents the clinical assessment with appropriate diagnosis on all evaluations.
• Ability to provide back-up to other Community Crisis department positions as needed.
• Works collaboratively with clients and other staff in formulating goals for treatment.
• Clients are able to remain out of hospital inpatient services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's Social Work degree from accredited educational institution
• Current LMSW, LISW, LMHC or LMFT license with State of Iowa
• Knowledge in crisis intervention techniques and brief therapy
• Ability to work cooperatively with a multi-disciplinary team
• Clinical experience in evaluation, assessment and multi-axial diagnoses of adolescents and adults in various stages of development cycle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to verbally and physically de-escalate a client utilizing BMC trained philosophies
• Ability to complete electronic charting and documentation
