Job Description:
The Information Systems Coordinator actively participates in the design and evolution of Electronic Health Record (EHR). Provides oversight of all electronic processes/systems related to EHR systems in HIM and record processing functions. Provides technical and administrative resource support. Creates reports, review and correct data integrity issues. Creates and update policies / procedures related to EHR design, management and maintenance. Creates material and provide ongoing training for Physicians, HIM, and other Users.
Required Skills:
• Excellent overall knowledge of Health Information Systems, practices, procedures and guidelines.
• Computer system skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to seek out new methods and principles to improve services
• Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• Knowledgeable of medical terminology
• Strong Customer Service Orientation
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Required Experience:
Work Experience:
Three years experience in information systems in a health information management environment.
License/Registration/Certification:
None
Education and Training:
Associates degree in Information systems or related field required.
