Construction/Facilities Intern

Job description

Responsibilities
• Assist in creating equipment schedules for upcoming projects.
• Visit various locations to conduct site surveys, including patient care areas, operating rooms, and hospital campuses.
• Maintain and update master sets of hospital base plans.
• Support updates to floor plans, including room numbering and space labeling.
• Identify and document potential facility and construction-related updates, such as door swings, low-hanging signage, and other space planning considerations.
• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university.
• Majoring in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Maintain good academic standing.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident.
• Available to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday , between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
• Able to commit to the full 10-week Summer 2027 Internship Program (June 7, 2027, through August 2027).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between hospital sites as needed.
