How you’ll make an impact in this role
• Establishes relationships and aids with communication to case managers, physicians, payors, patients, families and referral sources in order to generate referrals and drive patient admission volume in the inpatient rehab.
• Ensures appropriate patient selection through clinical chart assessments during on/off-site clinical evaluation of patients in collaboration with the physician.
• Completes in-service and educational opportunities for physicians, case managers, interdisciplinary members and other professionals. Serves as an educational resource to patients, family members and caregivers.
• Participates in the development and implementation of business plans for the rehab unit and contributes to the development and maintenance of referral source promotional information.

What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
• Required Credential(s):
• One or more of the following:
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (COTA) credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy (RPT) credentialed from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Clinical Social Worker credentialed from the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
• Drivers License.
• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
