Expected pay for this position is $51.74 - $60.88/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Children’s Hospital of Illinois (CHOI) Grants Program Strategist will serve as point of contact for all grant related activity for the Children’s Hospital of Illinois and pediatric grants for the Cancer Institute. The position will be responsible for analyzing and recommending grant opportunities to key stakeholders. In addition, the Grants Program Stragetist will, in collaboration with requesting physician or team, spearhead the application process with appropriate approvals and track all progress to ensure metrics are met and funding is optimized. This position will be responsible for grant awards to ensure proper reporting is completed. A high level of collaboration will be required with the OSF grants team, physicians and leaders throughout OSF and Children’s Hospital of Illinois. This position will report to the Director of Development Grants Administration with a matrix reporting structure to the leadership of OSF CHOI.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, finance or related field
Experience: 3 years professional experience with grants or project and program management.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
• Ability and experience working collaboratively with and managing projects with both internal and external entities, as well as the ability to take initiative and function independently.

Experience: Prior or current experience in Grants and/or Philanthropy
