Methodist Hospital welcomes applications for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
This role is a part of our Same Day Surgery Center team in Maple Grove with occasional travel to other Same Day Surgery Centers as needed. We are looking for enthusiastic and positive team players to support our growing services and opportunities to provide patient care in our Surgery Centers. Our Surgery Center is a fast-paced, multi-specialty practice, where the CST practices under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity, and caring. Crucial skills include:
• Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures.
• Knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods.
• Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure the safety of patients.

Work Schedule:
• Day shift with variable start times, variable shift lengths, rotating late shifts, and occasional travel to alternate sites per rotation.

Required Qualifications:
• Current certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) .

Preferred Qualifications:
• Currently validated CPR skills or BLS certification.
• SPD experience with cross-training to Sterile Processing.

Additional Information:
This is a non-union 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period) day shift position, working in Maple Grove, MN with the ability to float to other Same Day Surgery Centers. The full salary range for this position is $37.43-$50.65 per hour, based on years of related experience. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
