How you’ll make an impact in this role
• Prepare the surgical suite with sterile drapes, solutions, and the appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies to ensure a safe environment.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs by efficiently handing over required instruments, medication, and supplies during the procedure.
• Safely assist in preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients to ensure comfort, dignity, and proper surgical access.
• Maintain instruments in a meticulous, organized manner while strictly monitoring and tracking component counts throughout the procedure to prevent retained objects.
• Maintain a vigilant focus on aseptic technique and situational awareness to maximize overall patient safety and operating room efficiency.

What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:
• OR experience
• Trauma experience
• Monday Wednesday Thursday and Friday | 10:15am-8:45pm with call on rotation
