Certified Surgical Tech 8 Hour - Per Diem
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services, and a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist works intra operatively in the preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic surgeon environment for the patients. The Surgical Technologist will perform as a team member for the common good of the patient take responsibility for personal action.
Education :
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate from a formal surgical tech training program or 1 year of acute hospital surgical technician experience required.
• Certification from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) required

Experience : One year experience in a main operating room within the last two years preferred
• Basic knowledge of scrub role
• Handling of instruments, set up, anticipates surgeons needs
• Knowledge of autoclaves
• Transporting patients
• Must be able to keep all information confidential.
• Must be dependable, adaptable to change and have good organizational skills.

Licenses and/or Certifications:
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification required.
