Novant Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include clinical support, specimen collection, immunization administration, patient education, scheduling assistance, and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
What You'll Do
Coordinates and assists providers in delivering safe, quality, and cost-effective patient care. Responsible for clinical, laboratory, administrative, and patient education duties while supporting Novant Health's commitment to providing a remarkable patient experience.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma required. Graduate of certified medical assistant program. Certifications allowed through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) and the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) required. • Experience: Previous work in a medical clinic preferred. CMA's with Podiatric, Rehab, Ortho, or Wound Care experience highly preferred. • Licensure/certification/registration: Current certification as CMA or RMA required. BLS/CPR (or earned within 90 days of hire) required. Annual UAP agreement with provider required. • Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
