Novant Health Township Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)!
Work Schedule: Week A: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, Week B Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
Join Novant Health Township Pediatrics as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and help provide compassionate, personalized care to patients. You’ll work alongside a collaborative clinical team while building meaningful relationships with patients and supporting them throughout their care journey.
This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience working with neurology patients or in a medical office setting, though motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply!

Location: Matthews, NC
What You'll Do
• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, chief complaints, and relevant medical history.
• Partner with providers to support patient care, assist with clinical workflows, and ensure efficient patient visits.
• Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) and accurately document results in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Manage the provider in-basket, including patient messages, prescription refill requests, lab results, and follow-up communications.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and coordinate care activities to support quality patient outcomes.

What We're Looking For
• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
• Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
