Novant Health Lakeside Locust is Hiring a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA
Novant Health Lakeside Locust clinic is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant. The CMA is to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population.
As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) , you'll play an integral role in supporting our providers and delivering exceptional care that improves the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
What You'll Do
• Support providers in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care.
• Assist with patient intake, vital signs, documentation, and clinical procedures.
• Coordinate patient care activities to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Foster positive relationships with patients, families, providers, and team members.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For
• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required.
• Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
