• JOB SUMMARY
• Facilitate the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments; supplies; and equipment and maintains the sterile field while anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgical team.
• CSTs have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities; surveys; improvement initiatives; and continued education.
• JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Education
• Completion of approved Surgical Technology Program
• Minimum Work Experience
• No previous experience
• Required Licenses/Certifications
• BLS - should not initiate patient contact until completed
• Must maintain a valid surgical technologist certification
• Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities
• Deals effectively with hospital personnel
• Advocate of quality and cost effective care
• Maintains professional appearance at all times
• Ability to handle confidential information
