What You Should Know About the Carpenter:
• Monday- Friday: Typical hours 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Position may take call.
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Facilities Department

Job Summary:
The Carpenter is responsible for performing a variety of skills carpentry tasks to maintain, repair,
and improve hospital facilities. This role ensures that all carpentry work complies with safety,
hygiene, and regulatory standards specific to a healthcare environment.
Carpenter Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.
• This is a safety sensitive position. *
• Minimum requirements :
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment
• Strong knowledge of building materials, techniques, and safety practices
• Ability to read blue prints, technical drawings, and schematics
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Minimum 1 year of carpentry experience
• Preferred requirements :
• Minimum 3-5 years of carpentry experience, preferably in a commercial or healthcare settings
• Understand of healthcare regulations and standards, such as OSHA, Joint Commission, and other relevant bodies
