Job Requirements
Schedule: Dayshift, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs routine and specialized cardiac sonographic procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job responsibilities performed .
• Executes basic clinical competence in cardiac sonography, in all locations, across all patient types. Selects accurate equipment and technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient.
• Applies knowledge of cardiac sonographic principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, physics, positioning and patient care skills. Adheres to Joint Commission, State, Federal and departmental regulatory compliance standards.
• Documents accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
• Ensures a safe and appropriate work environment. Maintains supplies and inventory in area. Informs appropriate colleague when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors. Documents and reports related equipment/environmental problems in accordance with policy.
• Actively participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience and quality. Actively participates in student and employee training and educational activities.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Work Experience
Education & Experience - Required
• Graduation from an approved and accredited Ultrasound Educational Program.
• No Experience Required.
• RDMS or CCI Certification within 6 mo. of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
