Job Requirements
Clinical Practice
• Provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care within the procedural area.
• Demonstrates strong clinical knowledge, judgment, and independence.
• Serves as a clinical resource and supports team members.
• Applies evidence-based practices and collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Advocates for patient and family needs.

Professional Development
• Maintains required clinical competencies and pursues ongoing professional development.
• Participates in education, orientation, and quality improvement activities.
• Serves as a preceptor, coach, and charge nurse as trained.
• Completes required annual continuing education.

Quality & Patient Safety
• Promotes safe, timely, efficient, and equitable patient care.
• Identifies and addresses patient safety risks and reports adverse events and near misses.
• Follows organizational policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and clinical guidelines.
• Participates in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, research, and patient safety initiatives.

Leadership & Teamwork
• Supports effective teamwork, communication, and a positive work environment.
• Participates in staff meetings, shared governance, and unit initiatives.
• Supports recruitment, retention, and professional development efforts.
• Participates in peer review and provides feedback as requested.

Work Experience
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
• More than 24 months nursing experience. Solid knowledge and clinical skills. 2 years ICU experience. Cardiac Cath and or Cardiac nursing experience preferred
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Must meet all unit specific certification requirements: ACLS

• Pay Range: $37.75-$56.21
• Other Compensation (if applicable): Shift Differential
