Providing compassionate care to the children, teenagers and young adults of Central Florida for more than 30 years, Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is located on the downtown Orlando campus and includes 156 licensed beds for specialized care for children as well as the Bert Martin’s Champions for Children Emergency Department & Trauma Center, offering trauma care for children as the pediatric site of the Orlando Health ORMC Level One Trauma Center. State-of-the-art pediatric services are provided by a comprehensive staff that includes pediatric subspecialty physicians and a nursing team that is “Magnet” recognized for nursing excellence and high-quality patient care. The hospital also has earned national recognition for 12 consecutive years as a “Best Children’s Hospitals” by U.S. News & World Report and was included, together with Orlando Health ORMC, in the IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals® list for 2021.
Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Seacrest Studios seeking a Broadcast Coordinator. The Broadcast Coordinator for the Seacrest Studio is responsible for the coordination and execution of daily broadcasts and programming that are produced from this space. This position works closely with the Studio Manager for support with the technical aspects of the equipment as well as creating the program content and
delivery that is relevant to the patient population who is listening and participating. The Broadcast Coordinator
will oversee studio volunteers and will also assist the manager with student and donor related activity.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
• Effectively operates and maintains studio equipment to ensure on-going functionality.
• Coordinates the preparation, production and delivery for both televised and radio broadcast content in the

Seacrest Studio.
• Generates written weekly schedules of program content for the patients and families while working closely

with the studio manager and department events coordinator to plan for the variety of community events that
will need to be integrated.
• Effectively engage with children of all ages and their families who present with varying abilities and interests

in order to promote positive patient and family experiences.
• Exercise good discernment and judgement related to patient care needs and issues while interacting directly

with those clients; intentionally seeks engagement opportunities to involve patients.
• Works closely with the child life, music therapy, healing arts and patient academics teams for developing

age-appropriate content for broadcast while incorporating a creative component to that content.
• Manages own project workflow for the studio and coordinates related programming to maximize studio

production.
• Assists manager with process improvement initiatives and adhering to environment of care standards.
• Coordinates volunteer training and assignments for the studio and actively engages with them for

integration, retention and successful experiences.
• Creates and coordinates opportunities for hospital staff to participate in the studio and incorporates methods

of engagement.
• Assists Manager with training and oversight of students.
• Continually updates self on changing technology and pursues any necessary continuing education related to

such.
• Think and act swiftly for creative problem solving and implementation of last minute changes that may be

needed for live or pending broadcast programming.
• Manages and oversees studio operations in the absence of the Studio Manager.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA

and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Other Related Functions
• Networks regularly with Seacrest Studio partners across the nation and participates in any educational

summits that are organized by the Seacrest Foundation, budget permitting.
• Serves as a technical consultant to hospital departments regarding audiovisual equipment, patient

technology needs or other broadcast related initiatives.
• Assists the studio manager with process improvement opportunities related to studio operations.
• Ability to serve as a subject matter expert in the absence of studio manager related to daily functions of the

studio or the technical aspect of the equipment.
• Actively involved with donor engagement and/or celebrity visits that occur; will serve as the primary host in

absence of studio manager.
• Completes any required documentation related to studio activity as requested by the manager.
• Adheres to licensing and other requirements as outlined in the contract between APH and Seacrest Studios;

helps to ensure the brand standards, design templates and systems architecture.
Qualifications
Education/Training
• Associate’s degree in Broadcast, Recording Arts or similar field required.

Licensure/Certification
• None.

Experience
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in event project management, community outreach, social media initiatives, broadcast production, experience working with a or other related experience. Pediatric population experience prefer.
