The Clerical/Administrative Support is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
The Biller/Coder/Receptionist is to provide assistance in the billing department of the physician practice at Pease. Reviewing, preparing claims for submission. Following up on delayed/denied claims and assisting with EMR. Entering demographics and obtaining any missing information on patients. Intermittently checking/registering patients and work with charting. Flexibility is a must, as employee is expected to cover coworker when absent.
Employee will be responsible for all held claims in the athena system. He/she will review reports, and correct all claims for submission. Contact insurance companies and or patients as is often required. This person must work well independently, be result-driven and work efficiently.
Qualifications
• At least one year experience working in a medical practice
• At least one year experience in a medical billing setting
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Energetic and positive attitude
