Job Requirements
Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home is an inpatient facility for patients under hospice care. The Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home is fully staffed 24/7 to provide care for patients and families. Hospice provides a team approach for expert medical care, symptom management, and emotional and spiritual support tailored to each patient. Our RNs work together within a multidisciplinary team to provide our patients with the best care. Our teams include: Attending physician, RN/Case Manager, Hospice Aide, Medical Social Worker, Chaplain, etc.
Responsible for direct pastoral care for patients and families at Spartanburg Hospital for Hospice House. Acts as a support person for patients, caregivers, families and staff. Serves as part of an interdisciplinary team and serves as a liaison to patients and families that receive Palliative Care services at Hospice House. Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
Education
• Master's Degree from an accredited seminary
Experience
• Minimum of four units clinical pastoral education
• Minimum of 2 years ministerial experience
License/Registration/Certifications
• Valid driver's license
Preferred Requirements
Preferred License/Registration/Certifications
• Board Certification or eligible for Board Certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Manual dexterity, good eye/hand coordination, acceptable vision, and hearing needed in daily work
• Effective communication skills with command of the English language written and verbal
• Sit and view computer monitor for extended periods of time
• Requires extensive daily travel
• Must have extensive critical thinking and judgment skills
• Must be able to work as a team member with peers, department managers, staff and administration
• Strong organizational skills
