Assistant Nurse Manager – Med-Surg/Cardiac Tele
Thomasville Medical Center | Thomasville, NC
Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Exempt | Primarily Mid-Shift
Thomasville Medical Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our 48-bed Med-Surg/Cardiac Tele unit. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Med-Surg RN ready to grow into a leadership role while remaining connected to patient care and the nursing team.
What You'll Do
• Support daily staffing and scheduling
• Assist with performance evaluations and staff development
• Serve as charge nurse as needed
• Provide clinical support and mentorship to nurses
• Step into staffing and patient care when needed
• Partner with the Nurse Manager on unit operations
• Promote teamwork, quality, safety, and excellent patient care

About the Unit: Our team cares for a diverse patient population, including medical, cardiac/telemetry, orthopedic, post-operative, and rehabilitation patients.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• 2+ years of recent Med-Surg experience, required
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical skills

What We're Looking For
• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN, preferred. Graduate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience, preferred. Prior demonstrated nursing leadership, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications.
• Additional Skills (required): Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training
