Job description
What You’ll Do
The Associate Therapist facilitates individual and group sessions with clients, mentors direct care staff, and works collaboratively within treatment teams. Key responsibilities include:
• Facilitating individual therapy sessions within the framework of Newport Healthcare’s clinical model
• Facilitating clinical and experiential group therapy sessions to support healing and connection
• Participating in screenings, intakes, orientations, assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning
• Attending trainings and clinical supervision sessions to enhance your skills and broaden your knowledge
• Serving as a vital part of your clients’ multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Supporting the team with crisis prevention, intervention, and management as needed

• Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (required)
• Board registered to accrue hours towards licensure in the state where services are provided (required)
• Experience facilitating therapy with children, teens, and/or young adults (preferred)

• The capacity to listen attentively and actively, with patience and empathy, and to communicate clearly and effectively

Compensation for this role ranges from $61,462-$84,509 per year depending on education and experience.
Additional Details
This position works with clients who are ages 7-11 years old.
