PRN Associate Chaplain
Beacon Health System
On-Call: Overnight Responsibility
Beacon Health System is seeking a PRN Associate Chaplain to provide compassionate, patient-centered spiritual care. This role supports patients, families, and staff in an inpatient hospital setting through spiritual assessment, consultation, supportive interventions, crisis response, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
About the Role
The PRN Associate Chaplain provides on-call coverage to multiple Beacon locations in Michigan. This position requires flexibility, strong clinical spiritual care skills, and the ability to respond to spiritual and emotional needs across diverse populations.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff
• Responding to crisis situations, end-of-life care, and perinatal bereavement support
• Participating in interdisciplinary care teams
• Documenting spiritual care interventions in accordance with Beacon standards
• Providing overnight on-call coverage as assigned
• Traveling between Beacon locations as needed to support staffing coverage

Required Education & Credentials
• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Theology, Spirituality, Social Work, Divinity, Philosophy, Pastoral Studies, Human Behavior, or a related field required.
• Completion of 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) through an accredited program.
• Driver’s License
