UVA Health is seeking an Audiologist to join UVA Audiology in Charlottesville, Virginia. In this role, you will provide high-quality audiology care while gaining exposure to specialty services that may include vestibular diagnostics, cochlear implants, pediatric audiology, auditory evoked potentials, newborn hearing screening, and care for medically complex patients. The Role:
As an Audiologist with UVA Audiology, you will primarily support adult patients through diagnostic evaluations, hearing aid services, hearing rehabilitation, and vestibular and balance assessments. You will work closely with ENT providers and multidisciplinary colleagues to support continuity of care and strong patient outcomes in a major academic medical center environment.
This role is well suited for an audiologist who enjoys a mix of independence and collaboration. An average day may include:
• Performing general diagnostic audiology evaluations for adult patients
• Partnering with ENT providers to support patient assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up
• Managing patients through the hearing aid evaluation, fitting, counseling, and rehabilitation process
• Conducting vestibular and balance evaluations, including rotary chair, VNG, vHIT, and VEMP testing
• Building long-term patient relationships through education, counseling, and continuity of care
• Collaborating with audiology colleagues across specialty areas such as cochlear implants, pediatrics, newborn hearing screening, and medically complex care
• Supporting a patient-centered practice where clinical judgment, communication, and rehabilitation skills matter every day

Advanced Practice Provider Scope of Practice:
Clinical
• Provides expert evidence-based, top-of-scope care in their clinical practice
• Acts as part of a specialty team, collaborating with other clinicians as appropriate
• Provides hearing health education to patients
• Maintains accurate, timely, and thorough documentation
• Ensures compliance with institutional and regulatory standards

Leadership
• Supports development of best practices and protocols in specialty
• Serves on committees and workgroups to enhance patient care
• Provides education to learners in the clinical space
• Mentors new team members

Administration
• Contributes to clinical quality improvement work
• Participates in professional governance through the APP Council
• Attends team development meetings at local and departmental levels

Professional
• Adheres to ASPIRE values in all professional interactions
• Maintains appropriate licenses, certifications, and specialty training competencies
• Participates in local, state, and national professional organizations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Master’s Degree in Audiology (minimum)
Experience: 1 Year
Licensure: Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Skills: Experience utilizing a personal computer and computerized scheduling.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
The pay range for this role is $92,377.00 - $129,729.60 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
