Overview
The Administrative Coordinator - Environmental Services (EVS) is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating training, quality assurance, infection prevention, and performance improvement programs within the Environmental Services Department of a not-for-profit hospital. This role supports the organization's mission of providing safe, high-quality patient care by ensuring EVS staff are properly trained, competent, and compliant with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards.The coordinator serves as a visible departmental resource and must maintain flexibility to support staff education, competency validation, quality monitoring, and operational needs across all shifts. This position requires availability to work every other weekend and the ability to provide training, coaching, auditing, and leadership support on day, evening, and night shifts as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be computer literate and have ability to use e-mail, and online programs regarding training classes and documentation.
• Minimum 2 years teaching role for small-medium and large groups environment.
• Proficiency and active use of Microsoft office platform (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Environmental Services experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with healthcare quality assurance, training, staff development, or infection prevention preferred.
• Experience in a hospital EVS environment strongly preferred.
