POSITION OVERVIEW
Ensure residential and outpatient client compliance in receiving and maintaining entitlement benefits, attendance, communicating with insurance and other providers. Front desk reception duties.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Front desk reception duties. General day-to-day administrative duties such as organizing mailings, copying, faxing, office supplies and filing.
• Conduct follow-up calls, emails, text and other forms of communication to clients for intake and other appointments.
• Maintain client confidentiality
• Complete and maintain applications and copies of identification information (i.e. birth certificate, non-drivers ID, social security, etc.) to secure entitlements for clients coming in for services.
• Responsible for managed care, Medicaid, Medicare and other billing including completing any other Medicaid reporting requirements. Ensure timely MetroCard billing on PTAR system.
• Evaluate billing documents and coding to optimize reimbursement by ensuring that diagnostic and procedural codes and other documentation accurately reflect and support the visit. Accurately interpret medical information and diagnostic descriptions and procedures for visits to assign appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes
• Complete insurance verification list twice monthly, provide weekly self-pay collections and account receivables report and client insurance verification and authorizations for all assessments.
• Input Data entry regarding encounter forms into Electronic Health Records billing system.
• Review Medicaid & other Managed Care reimbursement claims and treatment plan list, prior to submission for completeness and accuracy to minimize claim denial with Acacia billing staff. As needed, follow-up and resolve client and billing related issues with Medicaid, HRA, SSI and any other benefit services.
• Support program needs with completing LAB Corp Requisitions for toxicology screens as needed.
• Assist with and maintain data and documentation of client case record according to El Regreso, OASAS (MSD & PRI reports), HRA (STARS) and all other contracts and guidelines.
• Assist with gatherings documents and other items for program reports, audits, etc.
• Provide AA support to the other two programs in the event a staff is out.
• Keep abreast of developments of the impact of welfare reform, HIV/AIDS, public assistance, SSI,

REQUIREMENTS
• Associate degree preferred with a combination of relevant experience to client population.
• H.S Diploma required or GED Equivalent
• 1-3 years’ experience working with the target population.
• Strong leadership, excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work on a strong team of professionals in a culturally diverse environment including working with children (12-17years)
• Ability to multitask and to work and function under pressure
