Acute Care/Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Surgeon

Job description

The Division of Advanced GI and Bariatric Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking applications for a board-eligible or board-certified general surgeon to join an acute care surgery service line and serve as an Acute Care Surgeon. The practice is a busy non-trauma practice, encompassing the entire spectrum of abdominal pathologies and acute surgical emergencies. There is also the opportunity to develop an elective practice in abdominal wall reconstruction.

Successful candidates should possess excellent clinical skills, and a strong interest in teaching.
The position includes participation in education efforts for the ACGME-accredited general surgery residency program. Our center has significant infrastructure and collaborative atmosphere to support individual’s professional pursuits, including research, education, administration, quality projects, and simulation.
License or Certification: Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in General Surgery.
