340B Operations Manager
- Memphis, TN
Job description
About Christ Community Health Services
Since 1995, Christ Community Health Services (CCHS) has provided high-quality healthcare to the underserved in the context of distinctively Christian service. As a faith-based Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we serve approximately 60,000 patients each year across our Memphis health centers, offering primary care, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and specialty services to the communities that need them most.
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented 340B Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and optimization of our 340B Drug Pricing Program. In this role, you will oversee accurate 340B transaction identification, purchasing, replenishment, medication and vaccine inventory, contract pharmacy activity, financial reconciliation, and the systems that connect these processes. You will lead 340B operations staff and partner with Pharmacy, Finance, Information Technology, Revenue Cycle, clinical teams, and external vendors to solve problems and strengthen program performance. Your work helps CCHS make responsible use of resources so we can continue expanding access to affordable, high-quality care.
Our Core Values — and What They Look Like in This Role
At CCHS, how the work is done matters as much as what is done. Our core values aren't wall art — they are performance expectations, and here is what they mean for a 340B Operations Manager:
• Intentional Love — Love here is a choice, not a feeling. In this role it means remembering that every accurate purchase and well-managed inventory process supports care for a real patient. You respond to medication access concerns with urgency, treat pharmacy and clinic partners with respect, and work to prevent avoidable interruptions in care.
• Devoted Service — We are go-getters who take initiative instead of waiting for someone else to act. In this role it means taking ownership of replenishment issues, purchasing discrepancies, missed 340B opportunities, and vendor problems from identification through resolution. You follow through, communicate clearly, and keep teams aligned rather than allowing problems to linger.
• Humble Excellence — Excellence is not perfection, but we reject mediocrity. In this role it means accurate reconciliations, reliable data, sound controls, and decisions grounded in evidence. You welcome feedback from the independent 340B Compliance team, correct mistakes promptly, and continually improve processes without compromising program requirements.
What You'll Do
• Lead daily 340B operations across applicable pharmacies and clinics, including eligible transaction capture, accumulation, purchasing, replenishment, and reconciliation.
• Monitor contract pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, and clinic-administered medication activity; investigate operational exceptions and identify opportunities to improve accurate 340B capture.
• Oversee 340B technology platforms, data feeds, interfaces, and system files; work with IT and vendors to correct discrepancies involving locations, providers, payers, NDCs, and pharmacy data.
• Analyze program performance through dashboards and reports, tracking missed opportunities, purchasing accuracy, capture rates, financial results, and resolution of exceptions.
• Oversee 340B revenue, savings, fees, purchasing trends, and routine financial reconciliation; investigate material variances and partner with Finance on reporting and forecasting.
• Direct medication and vaccine purchasing and inventory oversight across CCHS-owned pharmacies and clinics, ensuring proper use of 340B, WAC, GPO, and vaccine purchasing accounts while reducing stockouts, waste, and unnecessary costs.
• Manage operational relationships with wholesalers, contract pharmacies, third-party administrators, and other vendors, including service performance, account setup, implementation, and issue resolution.
• Support independent 340B compliance reviews by providing accurate records and operational expertise, and implement documented corrective actions while maintaining appropriate segregation of duties.
• Supervise, coach, and develop 340B Operations Analysts and Medication Inventory Specialists; establish clear expectations, standardized procedures, cross-training, and accountability.
What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (required).
• Experience in 340B operations, pharmacy operations, purchasing, healthcare finance, analytics, or a related function (required).
• Experience working with healthcare, pharmacy, claims, or financial data, along with supervisory or project management experience (required).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, project management, and communication skills; ability to work effectively with clinical, financial, operational, and technical partners.
• Significant experience with the 340B Drug Pricing Program, preferably in an FQHC or another HRSA-supported covered entity (preferred).
• Experience with entity-owned, specialty, or contract pharmacies; clinic-administered medication programs; split-billing platforms; wholesalers; or third-party administrators (preferred).
• Apexus Certified Expert (ACE) credential (preferred).
What We Offer
• Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
• Generous Paid Time Off (120 hours in your first year) plus paid holidays.
• 401(k) retirement plan.
• Annual paid Restorative Day supporting wellness and work-life balance.
• Mission-driven culture, employee recognition programs, and the opportunity to do work that directly expands healthcare access in Memphis.
